Professor Ivan Darby

BDS(Glas) PhD(Glas) FRACDS(Perio) DGDP RCSEng FADI

Professor Ivan Darby is Head of Periodontics and is responsible for the Melbourne Dental School's specialisation program in Periodontics, DClinDent(Perio). In addition, he also has involvement in the Grad Dip Clin Dent (implants), DDS, BDSc and BOH periodontics and implant surgery components. Ivan is also Director of Graduate Studies and Head of Population Oral Health and Periodontics section.

Associate Professor Joseph Palamara

PhD, Dip Ed, Monash University

Before coming to the Melbourne Dental School Dr Palamara worked at Monash University in the physics department as a research fellow and lecturer and as a lecturer at RMIT. In-between teaching he spent a short period at ICI (Australia) working on advanced ceramics. He also works as a researcher for the Oral Health CRC.

Professor John Hamilton

Ph.D., D.Sc

Professor John Hamilton is Deputy Head of Department, Department of Medicine (RMH), The University of Melbourne and a Professorial Fellow at The University of Melbourne. He is also a Senior Principal Research Fellow, National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.

Previously he was the Founding Chief Executive Officer (part-time), Cooperative Research Centre for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases (2001-2004) and the Director, Arthritis and Inflammation Research Centre, University of Melbourne (1997-2011)

Melbourne Laureate Professor, Eric Reynolds AO

PhD Medical Science (University of Melbourne), BSc Hons (University of Melbourne), FICD, FTSE, FRACDS

Melbourne Laureate Professor, Eric Reynolds AO is a Board member and Chief Executive Officer of the Oral Health CRC. He was head of the Melbourne Dental School at the University of Melbourne for 16 years until 2015 and continues to be Head of Oral Biology at the School.  Professor Reynolds was the Chief Executive Officer of the previous CRC for Oral Health Science, leading the Centre for seven years and through a successful rebid.
