World Oral Health Day
20 March 2013 is World Oral Health Day - a chance for everyone across the globe, in every country and every community, to celebrate the importance of good oral health!
The theme of World Oral Health Day is ‘Healthy teeth for a healthy life’ which reflects the major contribution that oral health makes to our lives.
Around the world, dental practitioners, dental associations, schools, companies and other groups will celebrate the day with events organised under this one simple message.
DHSV will be getting involved by holding its own celebrations at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.
COLOURING COMPETITION
To help encourage our youngest community members to look after their teeth for a healthy life we will be running a tooth-themed colouring competition for all visitors to RDHM that day. The winner will be judged Thursday 21 March 2013.
BALLOON GIVEAWAYS
We will have World Oral Health Day themed balloons for children visiting RDHM on Wednesday 20 March.
FRESH FRUIT
Staff and patients will be treated to fresh fruit on the day.
World Oral Health Day provides us with an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage individuals, families, communities and governments to take measures to lower the incidence of oral disease.
RDHM will take this chance to help make oral health fun for all our visitors, so get in the spirit and wear green to show your support.
